Yufei published his first first author paper with our group, “Hydroxypyridinone Derivatives: A Low-pH Alternative to Polyaminocarboxylates for TALSPEAK-like Separation of Trivalent Actinides from Lanthanides.” Read it in ACS Omega. Congratulations, Yufei!
SURP 2020
Three undergrads joined us through UC Berkeley mcbUSA’s Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP). Vicky and Fion, both intended molecular and cell biology majors, will be mentored by Dahlia. Carly, who intends on majoring in chemical biology and computational chemistry, will be mentored by Tyler. We look forward to working with you this summer!
Congratulations, Korey!
Korey will be joining the Department of Chemistry at University of Iowa as an Assistant Professor in January 2021. According to yesterday’s Department announcement, “Research in the Carter group will take advantage of the rich coordination chemistry of the f-block to address fundamental challenges in quantum information science, nuclear medicine, and separations chemistry.” Congratulations, Korey!
Test!
And we’re live.
